How edrips found me
“As a self-admitted “serial entrepreneur”, believe me- I had no intention of creating an email marketing business. In fact, from 2003 to 2005 I had LOTS of irons in the fire and between consulting projects and writing, my dance card was full. At that point I was satisfied with the clients I chose to work with and the overall body of my work. My first business, Impact Marketing was very successful in developing local marketing plans and tactics that really helped my clients create a virtual marketing department for their businesses. Typically a project would last between 6-9 months and then the client was off and running with an effective marketing plan. As successful as my local marketing system was for the client, I noticed a common problem with almost all of my clients. They were very inept at customer follow up! You could say they were follow up challenged. Through pure necessity I developed e-drips to cure these follow up problems. Originally I would steer the client toward Salesforce or Infusionsoft or ACT or some other CRM program and encourage them to automate their follow up system. Sending them to these CRM companies only confused the issue more. Business owners have a lot going on and learning a complicated CRM program with lots of bells and whistles didn’t work. My clients needed an easy to use, bare bones system that would automatically handle their follow up process for them and their salespeople. I began to study auto-responders in a big way. I remember reviewing companies and products for 16 straight hours at one point! In 2008, I developed a unique partnership with a firm based in South Africa that was able to design the auto-responder exactly as I needed it to facilitate followup for my clients. This infrastructure is the engine that drives e-drips and provides the canvas necessary to paint what is needed for each and every one of my e-drip clients today.” |
